The museum is situated in the heart of Lackagh village, twelve miles northeast of Galway city on the N63, beside Lackagh Church. Lackagh Museum and Heritage Centre work to conserve the local heritage, foster an appreciation of it, facilitate public access to it and provide facilities for the benefit of the community. They offer educational tours for schools and are open from Monday to Friday. Their rates vary from €4 to €12 depending on the plan.
