The interest shown by local schools to educate children in the ways of food production was one of the key factors in our decision to become an Open Farm all those years ago and education is still the bedrock of our work. Through booking a school tour, our experienced tour guides bring your class around the farm to teach the children all about where the food they eat comes from and all about our animals and farming. There is a focus on the production of milk, with a tour of our milking parlour where 200 cows get milked twice daily. There is even the opportunity to cuddle some chicks, rabbits and puppies! At the end of your visit, each child receives a learning pack and a £1 Return visit pass so they can visit again with their families.
