Cavan County Museum has an excellent education program of events for children drawn up in line with the primary school’s history curriculum. Indeed many schools are opting to come to their own county museum for their annual school outing. A tour of the museum offers children an opportunity to learn all about Cavan’s past with many displays dealing with archaeology, the famine, the Farnham landlords, folklife, the GAA and much more.
