The Mayo history museum at the North Mayo Heritage and Genealogical Centre contains original domestic and farming artifacts from County Mayo. Most of the exhibits have come from local homes, businesses and farms in the area. These include an original horse-drawn trap, a set of carpentry and blacksmith tools and even a traditional poitin still. The Don McLane Library is a unique collection of special interest books and records which is open to the public on request. The centre is very grateful for the support of their patron Don McLane.
